What I’m reading
At the urging of.. everyone in my family?… I’m on the fourth book of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. The first few chapters were grating (too much Millenial nerd-speak humor, I think) but they’ve got me hooked now. Third book was my least favorite, wondering how the balance between the dungeon itself and the meta-narrative of the gameshow will shift in the coming books.
What I’m playing
A bit of Through the Ages on the plane during recent travel. Such a great iPad implementation, crazy to play this game in <30 minutes.
What I’m up to
3 days of golf at Streamsong with Dad and uncles. So much fun, so exhausting - walked 55 holes in under 48 hours. Playing black and blue in the same day in heavy wind was brutal. Wind + new courses certainly exposed my game a bit, it takes golf to another level. Even though it was hard, I think Black was my favorite of the courses. Love the wide-open feel and I think the green complexes were the most interesting.
