Wow, it’s been a while! Life got in the way. Specifically: I have a new job! This has been boiling for some time (and in fact, was a secret objective of mine), and the job search really ramped up in May. That plus some challenges with Kaitlin’s pregnancy (all good!) leading me to do most of the housework and childcare led to no time for anything but work/home/job search. More on leaving GoDaddy and the search process soon, for now I’ll just say that I’m thrilled to have joined Quinn doing engineering to help pharma companies accelerate research with AI.
What I’m reading
- Doing much more direct agentic engineering, so trying to consume more content. Why software factories fail series was good.
- 3rd(?) attempt to get into Too Like the Lightning - finally got its hooks in me, it’s odd but has me captured like the Baroque Cycle did many years ago
What I’m listening to
On the theme of “thinking more about agentic software engineering, The Next Token podcast is good. Maybe 30% too Twitter-online for my tastes, but very good takes and informative overall. Looking forward to hearing about more workflows.
